LAS VEGAS GOLF CLUB (702) 646-3003
Las Vegas golf course reivew
.
Las Vegas Golf Club is Clark County's oldest and most traditional layout, as this course originally opened in 1938. Promising a player friendly golf experience, Las Vegas Golf
Club delivers with level playing surfaces and ample landing zones. With recession-proof pricing, it has been recognized as one of the best values in the valley.
The facility recently underwent significant improvements both to the course and clubhouse. The fairly new clubhouse now includes a pro shop, restaurant/lounge plus spacious
banquet and outing facilities. Golfers can practice on the targeted range or short game area, and developmental programs including instruction of all types is available on property
.
On course 150 yard stakes are situated on the fairways of all par fours and fives, and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are situated on both the cart paths and fairways. There is
minimal mounding and tree cover, and 33 sand bunkers are situated along the landing zones off the tee or greenside. The score cards have pin placement info with 3 possible
locations rotating on each hole.
There are 3 sets of tee boxes that play to distances and slopes measuring 6319 yards/112 slope, 5917 yards/105 slope for men and 119 for women, and 5260 yards with a slope
of 115 for ladies hitting from the forward sets. As the slope ratings indicate - this course is very manageable and is ideal for beginners, family play and seniors.
There are some nice mountain views and the playing conditions on our fall visit were very good. The fairways are fairly flat and often tree lined - with plenty of recovery room. Some
of the tee boxes are mildly raised, and most are open in the fronts, providing ample up and down opportunities. For more info, visit our page for the course with direct link to their
website by clicking here.
